Qoot is a nutrition, meal-planning, grocery comparison, health tracking, and community app for users in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls available to you.

Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, profile photo, language, and authentication details.
- Nutrition and profile information, such as age range, height, weight, goals, preferences, allergies, food logs, saved meals, grocery lists, water intake, fasting data, and progress history.
- Health and activity data, only when you connect Apple Health or another supported health source.
- Photos, documents, voice input, barcode scans, or text you submit for meal logging, nutrition labels, InBody import, recipes, or community features.
- Approximate or precise location only when you use nearby grocery or price comparison features.
- Community content you choose to post, including text, images, videos, comments, likes, follows, and reports.
- Device, notification token, diagnostics, usage, and security information needed to operate, protect, and improve the app.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To personalize meal plans, calorie and macro targets, grocery lists, progress insights, reminders, and app language.
- To process user-submitted photos, documents, text, or voice input for app features you request.
- To sync optional health data and show progress trends.
- To provide community features, moderation, support, fraud prevention, reliability, and security.
Health Data
Qoot reads Apple Health data only after you give permission. Qoot may use this data to show nutrition, activity, and progress features to you. Qoot does not write data back to Apple Health. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, or data sale.
Sharing and Service Providers
We may process data through service providers that help run Qoot, such as Supabase for backend storage and authentication, Firebase for push notifications, Apple services for Sign in with Apple and Apple Health, and AI or data processing services used by Qoot features. These providers process data to provide app functionality on our behalf. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to prevent abuse.
Your Controls
- You can edit profile information and preferences in the app.
- You can disconnect health integrations or revoke permissions in iOS Settings or Apple Health.
- You can export your data from Settings.
- You can delete your account from Settings.
- You can manage notifications in Qoot and in iOS Settings.
Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. We keep data for as long as needed to provide Qoot, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.
Children
Qoot is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
